About Us
Dumas Co-op was founded in 1947 by a group of farmers with a 24,000 bushel iron clad facility, being filled with grain from 50 bushel wagons drawn by two horses and a few small 50 bushel pickups. Throughout it's years, Dumas Co-op has seen many changes in the agriculture business and grown to it's present capacity of approximately 9,000,000 bushels. Dumas Co-op has 4 locations serving area producers: Main Elevators located at 600 Twichell in Dumas, Texas, Middlewell Elevator located southwest of Dumas, Morton Elevator located northeast of Dumas and the Etter elevator shuttle unloader, co-owned with DeBruce Grain, located in Etter, Texas. The Co-op owns and operates a fleet of semi trucks, as well as a full service agronomy dept through an affiliation with Premier Ag, operating out of the North Plains Fertilizer and Chemical facilities in Etter, Texas. The Co-op welcomes the opportunity to serve area producers and strives to stay with and ahead of the everchanging, fast pace of today's agriculture.
